1 mo. old complications?

Hey Ladies,

My little lady has been having problems with the formula we supplement with.. So her pedi switched her from Similac Advanced to Similac Sensitive Soy because we thought that was why she was having diarrhea, Now I know it was something I ate (in my breastmilk) that upset her tummy so the Soy really isn't necessary. After using Soy, my poor little girl has had the worst tummy aches and constipation... she finally had a bowel movement but I could tell how much pain she was in! So I have switched her back to advanced.. and she is doing MUCH better. Only concern I have is that instead of eating 3-3.5 ounces every 3-4 hours she wants maybe 1-2 ounces every 1-2 hours. Is this common around 1 month?   TIA!

Re: 1 mo. old complications?

  • 3-3.5oz in 3-4 hours is the same as 1-2oz in 1-2 hours, so she's still eating the same amount, so I would think it's okay.

  • I am having problems with LO and his pooping since the pedi switched us to similac soy. He finally pooped and it was to tarry and sticky. God what is it doing to his stomach? Poor thing. I am calling the pedi because I don't feel good about this formula at all.
