I am really craving Ruby Tuesday's salad bar and would love to take LO. My husband thinks he is too small and is worried we won't be able to enjoy ourselves.
When did you take LO to a restaurant and how did it go?
He was maybe 5 days old the first time (lunch). Since then we have taken him to a restaurant 3-4x/week. He has always done realy well... Usually sleeps through our whole meal.
3 weeks....we went out to breakfast. She wanted to eat with us...so I feed her and then ate. We took her to dinner last night and she slept thru the entire thing.
Love me some Ruby Tuesdays. We go everytime we visit the family!
We took DS out to lunch yesterday (8 days old) with my parents and family friends. We didnt really have a place for the carseat, so my dad and I passed him back and forth during the meal and he slept the whole time!
Btw, I used to wait tables at Ruby Tuesdays and almost always took home some mini's and salad bar at the end of my shift

At exactly 7 days old DD went out with us to a very crowded and loud pub/restaurant with DHs extended family. She's been out to eat with us at least 12 times since she was born (she's 5 1/2 weeks). DD is FF though so I never have to worry about feeding her in public. She goes everywhere...I don't do well with sitting around the house all week.
McDonalds at 4 days - she slept the whole time. A local Mexican place at 6 days - she nursed most of the time. Luckily I learned to nurse and eat with DD1.

I think she was maybe a week and a half old and slept right through it. We've taken her about probably 5 or 6 times total and only once has woken up and fussed during a meal.

Take off when he falls asleep and you're certain he'll be sleeping for awhile. We went to several restaurants when DS was 2-3 weeks old when our family was visiting. He was perfect, just slept the entire time.

She was a day old. She slept most of the time. But I did rnd up holding her for about half the meal. We go out a couple times a week. She always does fine. Sometimes I end up needing to feed her, but it's not a big deal. Enjoy yourself!
We just got home from our 2nd time, but I've been nervous about keeping him in the restaurant so we've been eating outside. I think next week I'll brave indoors to meet my friend who's visiting for the week. Idk why I'm such a scaredy cat!

Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
DD was a week old, she pretty much slept in her car seat the whole time.
P.S. I'm jealous that you guys have a Ruby Tuesday's. I miss their mini burgers and salad bar.
I am addicted! The mini burgers are 50 cents extra with salad bar... who could resist!
Thanks ladies, I can now defend my request to my husband. "The Bump mommies did it. So can we!"
