East Side Pediatrician?

Hi Ladies!
I'm due the first week in November with our first (a girl!) and am looking for recommendations for a pediatrician on the east side. My doctor is Rao, so of course he recommends his wife, but I've heard good and bad things (which I'm sure I'll hear with anyone.)  Who do you use?

Re: East Side Pediatrician?

  • I live on the west side and I go to Cleveland Clinic Main Campus General Pediatrics and see Dr. Brindle - highly recommend her.  In full disclosure, I worked for the clinic and was able to "hand pick" her.  Dr. Skyler Kalady has moved from inpatient to outpatient and I would highly recommend her as well - she's a mom to three and a sweetie as well as being a great MD.  Actually, I would see most of the docs in that practice.  It is a teaching practice, so you will see residents and fellows at times, which can make for a long appt.  And I have to admit, I've been really impressed at how on time the office runs.  GL

  • My OB is Ken Rao and I chose to stay at the Beachwood Family Health Center for pediatrics.  We see Dr Foley but all four doctors in the practice are nice.  I never have a problem getting in and never wait long.
  • My OB is Barry Peskin (same practice as Rao).   He recommended Senders Pediatrics, which is on South Green and has practicing rights at both UH and the Clinic.  He also recommended Dr. Wexberg, who is in the same practice as Foley, at the Beachwood Family Health Center.

We chose Senders b/c it is so close to our house, the offices are beautiful/new and we never have to wait.  We see DD's regular Pedi for her checkups but if we need to get in quickly, we have always been able to get in and see whoever is available.

They have a wonderful website with tons of good info too!  www.senderspediatrics.com

We see Dr Andy Mann (woman)...she is an DO, not an MD but we love her.  If you want an MD, I would recommend Dr. Jill Sangree.

They also have an excellent Lactation MD and Lactation Consultants!

  • I love, love, love Dr. Worthington he is on Chagrin and his number 216-5140100
  • Thanks for all of your responses!  It's such a big decision and I feel better going with a recommendation rather than blindly choosing someone.  I appreciate all of your help!  :)

We see Dr. Sangree at Senders and we LOVE her.  She's has young children herself and has been very helpful in giving us practical first-time parent advice.  The whole practice is phenomenal!

  • We go to Senders also, and LOVE them. Have never had a problem getting in. ?I also had A LOT of issues with BFing at first, and Dr. Ann Witt was awesome!

    GL in your hunt!?
