This idea makes me sick. I have seen a lot of replies with "to each their own" and "that's just not for me." This is domestic abuse plain and simple. I am reading through one of these girls blogs and I'm crying cause i can't believe this girl has convinced herself that this is ok. This is just so terrible! I know! I read the link below. DH and I were talking about it and can't believe it. I really do try to not judge and keep a "To each their own" attitude. But some things just cross a line, and this is one of them.

There is no way around it..... this is abuse!

However, he was still upset and so he told me to take off my pants/panties and lean over his knee. Keep in mind, that I just freakin' woke up and that is NOT how I wanted to start my day! But, at least I'd get it over with.

Parker spanked me with his hand quite a few times (I lost count after like 30..) and then had me lean over some pillows on our bed and spanked me with a belt. It wasn't as many times I remember him doing it in the past, but they were some pretty hard strikes. Then, he gave me the choice if I wanted 15 with the paddle or soap in my mouth for saying the f-word. I chose 15 with the paddle, because the thought of soap just made me want to throw up. "Parker put me in our bedroom all night to think about it. I really wasn't sure if he was going to spank me or not, but he ended up choosing to do so. It really wasn't supposed to be that severe but due to me moving around and continually telling him to stop during it, it got to be pretty bad. Parker used a belt and a paddle, although he ended up having to use the belt for most of it because I just couldn't hold still and cooperate like I knew I should have. This is absolutely ridiculous. I don't see how anyone can come to a mutual agreement about this. He's your husband, not your father. I hope someone reports this. I'm pretty sure leaving welts for a few hours would be considered abuse.

I feel like the fact that they supposedly agree on it means nothing. He is still abusing her! I just want to scream in her face "THIS IS ABUSE" I just can't get passed this. It's sickening.

this is disturbing on so many levels. I honestly feel really bad for her and girls like her. I feel like she's must have had so other types of abuse going on in the past to take it with such a blase attitude. I really hope she's able to get out of the relationship and stop the cycle of abuse this can only perpetuate

I couldn't imagine these two having children. What respect could your child possibly have for you if Daddy punishes you? Especially if they don't punish the children for wrong behavior....but I mean even if your children were equally punished with spankings (and much less severe then the ones inflicted on her) I don't see how a child could respect a parent if they are being punished too!

I think submitting yourself to this says a lot about the person, their lack of self esteem and will power. And the other couple with the whole infatuation thing since six grade, seriously? These people are creepy. SO and I think there is no way that the husband, or even both of them aren't getting a sexual rise out of this. Making her stand nude in the corner? Taking her underwear off to spank her? Yeah....

I was reading it last night and couldn't believe how sick some people are! I wanted to talk to DH about it, too bad he is out of town until next Sunday. It is really sad that some women have such low self esteem to allow themselves to get into such sick relationships.

In their first post Parker says they discussed it with a premarital counselor who supported the idea and practiced it themselves. Do counselors have to take the Hippocratic Oath? That counselor should have told them hitting is unacceptable and it is not okay to abuse your spouse.

I think the concept is interesting, however I think that the guy is totally taking advantage of the situation. I also think if you are going to make an arrangement like that it needs to be both ways instead of just for the wife, there also I think should set punishments.

All of that said how they are doing it I think is wrong.

premarital cousneling is usually preformed by the clergy of your church....so they dont even have a degree in counselling to begin with.

My dad has a degree in Biblical Counseling, so he did have to take an oath and he does have a degree. But most of the time they don't.

It just saddens me that these women must have been taught by their own parents they were worthless and could be treated however a man deemed appropriate. I guess that is what brainwashing is all about. They all seem very religious to me too. Which should be contradictory, but instead turns into a reason to put women down most of the time.

This. I don't believe for a second they do this for anything other than they get off on it. They probably have mad sex afterwards. If it's even real .For all we know this chick is desperate for attention even if it's cyber so she makes this blog for her own kicks. Seriously if you get in trouble for having a temper tanturm or giving your husband an attitude, eventually you would just stop talking to him. She knows what she's doing when she's doing it. I think it's weird but I don't think she needs to be saved from her relationship. Seems to me she likes it.
