January 2011 Moms

a little reminder of what we have to look forward to...

My neighbors got TP'ed last night. The culprits did a pretty good job too!! Add in the morning dew, saran wrap on the mailboxes (including ours!) and they threw eggs at the house...they have quite the mess to clean up this morning!

I'm just thinking about our babies, and how one day they won't be babies. They'll be toilet papering someone's house or out cleaning it up. One of the two!! Oh teenagers!

  • Hehe, don't forget puberty... I need to have a talk with SD again to remind her that she really needs to keep supplies in her locker in case she gets her period at school. Last time I tried to talk to her she told me it was too weird and I needed to stop talking!

My hubby is NOT looking forward to this. He said if Olivia got her period while he was home and I wasn't, he's make her sit on towels until I got home. LOL

  • When I was at Kohls a couple days ago a girl was with her mom first time bra shopping...it wasn't going so well...the mom just barged right in the dressing room...lol I remember feeling that way though.

  • I think I am looking forward more to having a CHILD than a baby :)  I have been crying like a baby at all the back-to-school commercials.

My husband says the same thing to me! I'm trying to be cool about it, but there's just no way to make it a comfortable conversation. I'm making her a little back-to-school basket... a small cute bag with pads hidden inside to keep in her locker, body spray, new deodorant, mascara (eeekkk... not looking forward to her wearing makeup, but we think it's ok). I don't know who growing up is more uncomfortable for, kids or parents!
