Recommend where to look for baby furniture

Hi All,

I have a ways before I need baby furniture, but wanted to start to look for ideas of pricing, measurements etc.  Where have you looked or where do you plan to look for baby furinutre whether in the VA, DC, MD area?

    I love Great Beginnings in Gaithersburg, if it is not near you, it's worth the drive. They have a great selection of cribs etc and staff is really helpful. We got our crib and rocker there, as well as car seats and strollers.

    We've looked at BRU, Buy Buy Baby, and Great Beginnings - numerous times each of them, after doing a bunch of research and reading the crib section in the Baby Bargains book.

    We are going with a crib from Great Beginnings - their delivery is $75 1st piece/$10 each addtl and that includes free set up which is great for us. Also great is that we can order now, and if the furniture comes in next week we can have them hold it until we're ready for delivery which we need because currently my mom is staying in what will be our nursery. I don't know that many brick and mortar or online stores will offer you that for no extra charge, so that is a huge plus IMO for going with Great Beginnings!

    This...I love Great Beginnings! We got all of our nursery furniture there, crib, matress, recliner (which is quite possibly the most comfortable chair I have ever sat it, a good thing since I have spent all night in it a few times!), dresser, nightstand...I adore the fact that they set it up for you. They were in and out SO fast, even with all of that to unload/assemble.

    We got our crib at Buy Buy Baby (it was a gift, so we didn't really bargain hunt at that point) - but Baby 2 Teen in Manassas has wonderful prices and selection.  I've never been to Great Beginnings, but I'd say I've heard these to places (B2T and GB) mentioned on here the most frequently.
    Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.

    LOVED baby 2 teen, we got our nursery furniture (pali) and carter's big boy furniture (stanley) from there. They are fast and the prices (compared to the same brand being sold elsewhere) were great.
