(visiting from TTGP)Tell me about your Implantation Bleeding

If you had it, that is. I've had the smallest bit of brown spotting this morning, last night, and the night before. I'm pretty convinced this isn't the start of my period, as my LPs are now 17+ days- who doesn't love a 3ww :/

Congratulations to all of you  on your bfps! :)

Re: (visiting from TTGP)Tell me about your Implantation Bleeding

  • I didn't have bleeding but I had the worst cramps of my life two days before BFP!  I thought I was going to die they were that strong.

My LP was all over the place (7-10 days). So it could be different foryou, but I had bad cramping for maybe 3 hours on CD 8. Then I had atiny bit of brown/bright red spotting on CD 9 (it was just spotting for less than a day). I got my BFP on CD10(this pastTuesday).

    Have you tested yet?

I haven't tested yet. My hope is to wait until 8/29, when FF says to test. Just like every other cycle, it's hard to say if I'll actually make it that far!

Since it may take up to twelve days for spotting to occur, many people get confused whether their spotting is a sign of pregnancy or the beginning of their period. If spotting lasts one or two days and stops, you may have conceived. However, if the spotting increases or doesn't change, your period may be on its way. Implantation bleeding does not have to last a full day; you may only see one spot on your underwear or on used toilet paper, which is why some women don't even notice.

It?s important to keep in mind that implantation bleeding is different for everyone and you may bleed for more than two days and still be pregnant. However, spotting for more than a couple of days may signify a problem (such as ectopic pregnancy) if you take a home pregnancy test and it is positive. It's always best to check with your doctor if you find out you are pregnant and you continue to experience spotting or bleeding.

Also there was a great bumpie over on TTGP that had information on this topic it's actually not as common as people believe it is.  I know some of the girls over there still have this information you may wish to ask for it over there.  I believe it's only about 35% of all woman experience this.

  • I had cramping and light brownish spotting on CD 17.  The night of CD 18 I took one of the first response early tests that can test 6 days before your missed period.  It showed the faintist second line. The next day I called my OB who sent me in for a blood test....BFP!  Good luck and happy thoughts you will get your BFP soon!

  • Implantation spotting is a lot like bigfoot: believed by many, seen by few, and those times it is usually a figment of the imagination.

  • I got my bfp at 11dpo, and the spotting didn't happen until 12 and 13 dpo.  I don't know if you would call that implantation spotting, but it could have been the second baby I guess... who knows.  Anyway, it was light brown, and once it was very pale pink, and then it just stopped.

Yeah, i'm not sure how FF is certain that I ovulated. Every other cycle has been very clear. All I can do is wait and keep temping :/

In my googling, I've seen that it's only a third of pregnancies. I guess I'll be waiting! lol

That would be SarahL77 in response to a newb convinced that she was pregnant bc she had IB.

I had no spotting, no cramping, nada, zip, zilch.

  • I had implantation spotting for 3 days starting at 9dpo.  It was about a week before AF was due so I was suspicious and tested on 10dpo and got a BFP!  I didn't have any cramping and it was light and brown the whole time.  No pink or red.  Hope that helps!
  • I disagree, I had it with both pregnancies. It was very clear on the toilet paper. I thought my period was coming, never thought I was pregnant until I took a test.
