For tops I really liked Old Navy, Motherhood Maternity (online...I hate their stores, but you can't return in-store, fyi), and Target (Liz Lange tanks are the best...and great for nursing later, too)
For jeans: Gap. They aren't so cheap, but they're great IMO
For other bottoms: Gap, Old Navy

I went into Motherhood Maternity for the first time yesterday, and I disagree that their clothes run big. I am always an XS at Target, and a size 1 pants, and I bought a pair of pants and a dress at Motherhood without a problem. The pants fit great, and I have to take up the straps of the dress, but other than that it fit well also. The pants were $20 and so was the dress. Not bad at all and super comfy.

Walmart.com has got quite a bit of cute things at rather decent prices. I just received my 2nd shipment from them today. They've got really cute capri/tank sets too.
I just went shopping at several stores yesterday and had great success with jeans at Kohl's and then I found some dress pants for work at JCPenny. They both were running sales this weekend which never happens for maternity clothes.
I am tall so I have had trouble with jeans etc... my best advice is to try one of every style on until you find a brand/style you like and buy a couple pairs. I think I have three pairs of jeans and I hope I'll be set. Happy Shopping!
I had some really great luck at some local consignment shops... the kids consigment stores often carry maternity, and you can find some great stuff if you are willing to dig. Most maternity is gently used, so it works out for all!
Re: Maternity Wear
I just got some maternity jeans from Old Navy & they fit great, I love them. Or, try Gap. Motherhood Maternity stuff seemed to run really big.
