NTTCAL Clicky: Do you know any 'swingers'?

FB just reminded me of this.  A couple who DH and I went to high school with are swingers.  Well, they invite another girl, anyway.  My pastor recently just told us that a couple in our community (I think I know who it is) are now 'swinging'.  It makes my skin crawl!

    I don't think we do, but I guess you don't really know for sure....

    All I know is I would freak the eff out if someone we knew invited us to swing!

    The EWWW part of it is that the only ones we know are one of my closest friend's parents. It totally freaked me out when I found out.

    DH and I have these one set of friends that 'swing' exclusively with another set of friends when they are totally INTOXICATED.  We had the pleasure of finding this out by witnessing it when they started making out in our honeymoon suite the night of our wedding. Surprise  Hmm

    The thought of it creeps me out honestly. I just have issues with the thought of sharing my husband. One of my old roomates, just got married and I could totally see her and her husband swinging though.

    ONe of my best friend's parents-- and once she was old enough to know, she was all-- EWWW!!  So all those "friends" who used to stay over??!!?!?  What a weird thing to know about your parents.

    I've known 4 couples that swing and it has ended disastrously for all of them.  I knew both the "exclusive" couples in each situation and all 4 of them are either divorced (ugly) or on their way.  In both cases, one of the "partnerships" got involved with each other outside the swinging scene.  It's beyond me how you can volunteer your DH to be with someone else.  Makes my skin crawl.

    SS: I knew a couple who tried it once, but I don't think they were full-time swingers, haha.

    I can't believe your pastor told you this!

    And ditto to pp's - I'm not sharing my DH with anyone!

    I don't think we know any swingers, but it doesn't really gross me out.  I'm just not interested in that lifestyle and neither is my DH.

    There is this bar in town that we used to hang out at, and there was a couple there who everyone knew to be swingers. They propositioned a couple of our friends but our friends said no.

    I wouldn't be able to share my DH either...there's no way.

    Hmm is right.  That is weird

    On a side note, has anyone seen "Swingtown"? It only lasted for a season, but you can watch it on netlfix instant, if you have netflix. I think it's a great show!!!!
