Is anyone NOT wearing maternity pants yet?

Especially my fellow 15/16 weekers... I tried a pair the other day and they were falling down after 5 minutes. Of course my regular jeans hurt by the end of the day too. Am I the only one not wearing maternity yet??

Re: Is anyone NOT wearing maternity pants yet?

  • I can surprisingly still wear my regular pants, but I think it's because I was so sick in the beginning that I've lost weight.  I did just buy a bellaband though because it's starting to be uncomfortable when Im sitting down

  • I'm wearing my regular pants with a Be Band and I hope to pull that off for as long as possible!

  • Im not wearing maternity bottoms yet. The ones I have from b4 are still HUGE! and I bought a pair of capris but they are still ridiculous looking.

I have been opting for a ton of dresses lately.... bc my reg shorts are too snug, and its just WAY to hot for pants here right now!

This for the most part.  Some of my work pants still fit because I like them to sit low on my hips, but they are getting snug so they will need the Be Bands soon too.

  • My regular jeans still fit, they are just getting more uncomfortable. The maternity pants I have are still too big.

  • I am not wearing any maternity yet, but I have bought a few pairs of very forgiving pants (a size up) and some flowy shirts, and I use my Bella Band religiously! Maternity is way too big still.

  • My regular pants still fit.  I find it hard to find pants that fit just right so mine tend to have a tiny bit of wiggle room.  I've moved up one notch on my belt but other then that I think I still have a few more weeks in my regular clothing.

  • Me. My pants are a little tight and I'm thinking of getting some maternity clothes because of a long flight I have over Labor Day, but I'm otherwise not really showing.

  • I'm still wearing regular jeans but that's mostly because I still have some that are 1-2 sizes up from losing weight right before I got pregnant. My newest smallest jeans are a little snug in the waist so I might need a Bella Band for those soon.
  • I'm not wearing maternity pants yet. I figure there will be plenty of time for that! I am able to wear my regular pants either with a hair band through the button hole or with a bella band.

  • I'm still wearing my regular work pants, though I will admit I have them unbuttoned today.  I think it will still be at least 3-4 weeks before maternity doesn't swallow me.  This in-between stage is awkward.  I'm loving dresses.
  • Definitely not in need of mat clothes just yet. I barely have a bump. I might add some of my maternity clothes to my closet this weekend if I get a chance but I can't imagine wearing them for a few more weeks.

  • I'm not in maternity yet either!! My goal is to get to 20 weeks without maternity clothes!

  • I have one pair of maternity jeans that I'm excited to start wearing because they're super cute but they're too big at the moment.  I can still fit into some of my regular pants but others are too tight so I just ordered a Bella Band today.  And in the meantime I've been doing one of my favorite tricks that a friend taught me: take the hair elastic that I always have around my wrist, unbutton my pants, wrap the elastic around the button, through the buttonhole, and back around the button.  Works like a charm!
  • i'm not wearing maternity clothes yet. i fit in my normal jeans just fine, but my dress pants for work are getting pretty tight and some of my shirts will need to be replaced with some flowey shirts until i actually need maternity tops...right now i just bloated but no bump yet...i'm hoping i can stretch this phase out for a month or two, but that may or may not be a bit unrealistic.

  • Not in maternity clothes full time yet. All mine from last time are too big for the most part. Sometimes I wear them for comfort though.
  • I'm not.  I whipped out my fat jeans (an old pair that was too big that I must have bought when I was feeling really fat one day!) one evening when I went out to eat, but mosty of my pants still fit, barely, without hurting me. I expect to need the belly band in 2-3 weeks.  I've gained 4 pounds so far and about 3.5" on my waist.  Most of my pants were loose on me since infertility stress had caused me to lose weight over the last 6-12 months.  My stuff is low-rise which is more forgiving.  I have a little pooch hanging out over them.

  • I am not. I am still able to wear my regular pants- some fit better than others. I either have to use the hair tie trick or use my belly band (which I hate). I can't wait until my belly can fit into maternity pants- those things look SO comfortable!

  • I am still in my regular jeans but I have retired my shorts.  They got way to snug.  My dress pants for work are going to be the next to go or I will try the belly band.
  • I'm still wearing my regular pants although for the most part I just wear dresses and skirts. That seems to be more comfortable. On casual Friday I sometimes wear jeans but I always unbutton my pants when I'm sitting down. Otherwise, they're a little tight ;-)

  • WOW.  This is crazy.  I don't even think I could get my normal jeans over my butt, let alone zip or button them.  Haven't tried in awhile.  They were kinda skinny/tight jeans to begin with, so maybe that's why??  I wear dresses and skirts, and I have a pair of maternity jeans which have an elastic waist cut super low in front.

  • this is my case as well...its so frustrating because my jeans are so uncomfortable, but I've lost 12 pounds since my 5 week mark.
  • My jeans are still fitting just fine, but I only where them about an hour a day.  I get to work and change into scrubs (hooray elastic waist band!), and put my jeans back on to leave work.  Then I come home, and our apartment is so hot in the summer, I don't wear pants.  Maybe if I had to wear them all day they'd be uncomfortable?

  • I can wear some maternity pants, but they're all saggy. I can still easily wear my regular jeans, but I tend not to because I've been lazy and I don't want to patch them up or buy new regular jeans at this point. My first pregnancy I just wore my 'can't leave without a belt' pants until 8 months.
  • I'm at a terrible in-between stage.  My regular pants are too tight by the end of the day and starting to look a little weird even with the Bella band, but the maternity pants that I bought (which seemed to fit great in the store) promptly fall down when I walk around. I've been trading off wearing normal pants with bella band and loose shirts and wearing the maternity pants, also with the bella band to help hold them up. Good luck!

  • I'm still able to wear most of my regular pants. A lot of them are "low rise" and are very comfortable. I hope to stay out of Maternity pants for at least a few more weeks.

  • I confess:  I only wear elastic waisted pants now.  I still don't understand why I'm showing SO MUCH already since I've lost weight.  But these are awesome: West Street Pant at New York & Company they have an elastic waistband in the baaaack so they don't look all crazy in the front AND they come in TALL!!!  I had a pair for when I feel extra fat before a gig (pre-preg) and they are the only pants I've not been miserable in other than yoga pants or sweats.  I just ordered six pairs because they are having their pant event right now where you buy a pair at regular price and get a pair free! (you have to put the final number of pants you want in the count selector... it's factored in as free for you automatically)  SCORE on elastic waist pants.  I never thought I'd be this excited about them until I was 70 or so.

I agree here 100%. Dresses are the way to go. I have not gotten any yet and as long as I can get by with just dresses I plan to. That about from b4 does not apply to me since this is number 1 for me.

I do wear my boy shorts or gym shorts around the house.

  • I'm not, which I'm shocked at, almost 16 weeks pregnant with twins!  And I've gained 10lbs.. who knew!
  • I've been exclusively wearing dresses since week 13 and haven't ventured into buying maternity pants yet.  I'm trying to hold out for cooler weather before I buy anything since the majority of big belly time will be in cold months.

  • I can still wear some of my regular pants but I am way more comfortable in my maternity pants!  The ones with the full panels are way too loose so I have to use a bella band to hold it them up but this works really well and I am much more comfortable!

  • I'm not wearing maternity pants either. I'm thinking this is my last month of glory though! I had an OB appointment last Thursday and I've only gained 2lbs so far. However, I'm starting to notice that the waist of my pants and skirts are becoming a lot tighter. :)
