Re: MATERNITY HEALTH INSURANCE HELP!
ds' Medica Solo plan has a $3k deductible, but the first 3 visits to the doctor are at a $30 copay not counting towards the deductible. all of ds' well kid check ups along with all of his vaccines are covered in full until he turns 18, and I pay $91 and change for his monthly premiums it also has coverage for adults including all prenatal visits covered in full but no coverage for l&d services...
BUT
if your DH has insurance coverage you may be able to get under his plan without having to wait until open enrollment because you went through what is called a "life changing event" which would qualify for a special enrollment period. your coverage would just start the 1st of the next month after enrollment

I had the same thing happen in the middle of IUI. It was terrible! Hubby's insurance did not cover "specialized fertility clinics". I actually picked-up a solo BlueCross BlueShield plan and they covered most of it. Once we had baby in the oven I went under his plan as he has decent coverage otherwise.
Another thought, google companies that offer insurance to part-time employees. I know Lowes does. My co-worker worked their for 3 years part-time while her kids were little and they offered her insurance.
Good Luck!
