So, all this time I've been counting down until LO makes her debut. But, now that it's in single digit days until my c/s - I'm wondering what I'm forgetting to do - or will wish I would have done before the baby is born. Any suggestions?
The Saturday before I'm getting the "spa treatment" at the salon, I have someone coming to clean while I'm in the hospital - any other suggestions? That weekend before I hope to have all the laundry caught up and the snacks/drinks stocked up Anything else?
Re: 9 Days left...what should I do?
Have a good lounge in bed/sleep in day. If I can sleep until 7 thats a good day, my day usually starts now around 5:30-6am. Relish leaving the house by just grabbing your purse and leaving, because then it becomes a whole ordeal.
That's pretty much all I got.
A nice dinner with your SO.
When you take your last trip to the grocery store or Target savor every moment b/c it will never be the same. Next time you are there you will have a newborn baby with you that you just hopes sleeps the whole time and does not cry and force you to leave a cart full of groceries behind OR you will be there alone but rushing home to get back to baby.
It is a whole new world and a new way of doing things but it is worth it all!!! Enjoy your last few days but know there is so much excitement to come!
HA this is what I did! I saw Sex and the City on opening night and went into labor 3 days later. So glad I did that! No time to watch long movies now.
Take a really long shower, eat slowly, sleep, do your hair, go on a date with your DH..oh, and blast the music really loud in your vehicle the next time you drive somewhere...
GL!
Make meals to freeze. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I was making double of every dinner and freezing half of it.
Otherwise, I say sleep!
Yep and this doesn't change as they get older!
I wish I could take loooonnng showers
I haven't been to the movies since I was 8 months pg with DD!
just simple relaxing... by the pool would be nice!
Start reading "happiest baby on the block" not all the techniques work for every one but I had NO idea when DD was born and she had colic. My Lactation consultant told me and it helped 90% with the colic/fussy times. I only read pregnancy books and never thought about reading about infant or baby stuff.
I agree with movies, sleeping, spending an entire day running errands or shopping, take a long hot shower and shave your legs.
Happiest Baby of the Block is a fabulous book. Or watch the 30 minute DVD. It works wonders with our DD!
