Hi! We are currently using prefolds and covers and doing a trial trough Jillian's. My dilemna is I need to go with one diaper or my DH gets confusd on what to do, he needs to have one diaper options, too many and he can't remember whats what. I LOVE the BG AIO, and I figure they will wear well to child number 2 since they are not an OS, but they are pricey. I may be able to get by wtih a combo of BG OS and AIO, but I definitely need to stick with one pocket diaper or DH will get overwhelmed with the laundry/stuffing/etc. We've tried the flips, I'm not sure I'm a fan, maybe it's because we are still in the BF poo stage. LO is currently 7 weeks
Anyone else trying to stick to one diapering solution? What did you go with? Are there any other dipes I should consider? I want to stick with the trimmer dipes, the others don't seem to fit her well. I really like the blueberry (so cute).
TIA...hopefully my post makes sense!
Re: Choosing CDs, need input please
We are definitely a one-diaper family! DH and I absolutely do not have the patience for trying out a million different types. We used KL0s, then prefolds, then went exclusively to BG AIOs. We LOOOOVE those diapers. They are spendy, but when we did an actual cost comparison to buying different sizes prefolds and covers, the difference wasn?t so bad - and was well worth the convenience.
We went with the BG AIOs because they were cotton (big plus for organic, too), were one-size (it?s fabulous having something DD doesn?t outgrow), and didn?t require stuffing or separate covers. It?s also been nice that they are so easy to use for grandparents and babysitters, since the prefolds were never on quite right. They are also fast to put on, which is great with an antsy toddler. And the snaps cannot be easily outdone (she has figured out how to undo velco on the disposables?) And we have not had one single leak or blow out. Not one. We have been using the same diapers for almost a year, and they honestly look brand new. They will definitely last for another child. They do take longer to dry than other options, but less than other AIOs since the absorbent layers aren?t bound together. They are also pretty darn trim for CDs, which is really nice with DD crawling and walking. All around, we are extremely happy with our decision.
We tried a few different kinds in the beginning, but the BG AIO's won our hearts- DH LOVED them and while I was still wanting to expirement, he was done and told me to buy enough of those kind to last until potty training...lol
I ran across a ebay auction soon after that had XS, S, M, L BG AIOs plus a ton of extras- I got 14XS, 34S, 18M, and 18L(which are BRAND NEW) plus 3 wetbags and 400 liners and 40 wipes for $700!
He is in size Medium now and 18 was not enough for my rotation, so I have recently added in some fuzzibunz and some Thirsties AIOs, but DH still will only grab for the BGs and I only send BGs to daycare- they are the most reliable!
Anyways, not sure if I helped you out with your question or not, but thought I would share!
