Pedi GI... are you friggin kidding me?

Thumpofmyheart!!! Thank you so much for asking and thinking about me Monday!

We went to TX Children's pedi GI doctor Monday afternoon- they weighed her. 11 lbs. 3 oz. That's right, folks, down 8 oz. in 6 days. SERIOUSLY? DH called me (he was home with the kids, I was at work, we took 2 different cars to the appt) as I was in the elevator to tell me about the weight loss. I almost puked.

So enter GI doctor. She listened to DD's chest, pushed around on her stomach, and then told us to feed her one more feeding a day.

UMMM.. I JUST WENT THROUGH MY DAUGHTER'S LIFE HISTORY WITH YOU. Increasing from 4 to 5 feeding and adding cereal at all 5 feedings hasn't added a single pound... what makes you think 6 is the magic number???

no tests, no answers... I'M MEGA PISSED and frustrated.

I called my Pedi. on my way home and they, too, are shocked at how litle they did. We're taking DD to weigh Thurs. afternoon at our regular Pedi's office. If she drops any lower, someone's gonna have to come pick me up off the floor! Seriously.

She has a barium enima scheduled for next Tuesday morning. Hopefully that will help....maybe...some... who knows?

Oh, her poop issues seem to be leveling themselves out. she's pooped like 5-6 times in the last week! We haven't seen poop like this since before she turned 2 months!

    Ugh. That is beyond frustrating.
     
    It's wonderful that she pooped on her own, though! A step in the right direction, maybe? I hope so.

    That is frustrating! If you feel weird about it I would get a second opinion. Follow what you feel. Mommies know when something is just not right :)...

    I will continue praying for you and your family!

    ITA!  Trust your instinct and if you aren't satisfied with the doctor you saw I would definitely get a second opinion.  I am so sorry you are dealing with all of this.  I hope things get better soon!!  And yay for good poops :)

    That is so frustrating!  I hope your DD starts gaining soon.  You will continue to be in my T&P.

    We are headed to a pedi GI on Wednesday next week at TX Children's.
