I am going to be 37 (!) when baby gets here if everything goes well. Anyone else in the dreaded AMA category? Have you made any decisions yet on testing?

I'll be 34 when I deliver, not exactly AMA. I have my first appointment Monday, so I'll talk to my doctor about the different tests and see what she recommends.
Same here on being 34 when I deliver, not AMA but I guess sort of close...
I just had my first prenatal the other day and they made me a NT scan appointment. She didn't even mention anything about amnios or any further testing. I'm comfortable with an NT scan at this point. I would think/hope if anything is found then, then further testing would be needed. Not sure...
first baby for me; I'm 38 now and will be 39 at delivery... but DH is way worse: he's 51 and will be 52 next May! people are going to think he's the grandfather at high school graduation!

Don't stress- families are VERY different now then they were. I'll be 25 when baby is born. My step dad will be 40 (my mom will be 46). So yea...
I'm 35, I'll be 36 when I have this baby. I was 31 when I had DS.
Ditto this, but I have a DD in the middle. I am going to do the NT scan, quad screen and will decide on any further invasive testing based on those tests.
I'm thirty-eight. I turned 36 a few days after DS was born so my pregnancies have both been AMA. My doc doesn't make a big deal about it since she had her kids older too, but we did the NT test and quad screen last time and I'm sure she'll recommend that we do at least that again.
Add me to the old lady list lol I totally do not feel 36!!!!
Thankfully I will still be 36 when this lo is born. I was 34 when I had DS2 and they still considered it high risk? I did however have him pre term and had a placental abruption nothing the tests could have picked up on but I got all of them anyway and plan on doing so again.

I'll be 36 when I deliver, and am having trouble calling myself 'advanced maternal aged' - I've even read the term 'elderly pregnancy'! You're kidding right??
As for the testing, I'm in the UK, and the testing is required at my age - you just have to tell them ahead of time if you want to know the results or not.
I'm 38, will be 39 when baby is born. I was 34 when DS was born, so I was not in the AMA category yet. Yes, we are doing as much testing as we can...to prepare ourselves and to make any decisions needed.
We're definitely planning to do all the blood tests and the NT scan. Depending on those results we'll decide if we want to do more....though I'm tempted to do the CVS time just to be sure...

Me, I was 36 when DD was born and will be 39 when I deliver this baby. We did the sequential screen with DD and will do the same this time. Based upon the results of that, we'll make decisions on further testing. We just want to be prepared and to be able to prepare DD if the baby will need any special care.
I'll be 39 when this baby gets here (as long as God grants us the grace to have this baby). I will refuse all genetic testing. I plan on having this baby no matter what. All those tests will do is make me unnecessarily worry. Besides, an amniocentesis has a slight miscarriage risk as well. So, that is out along with any genetic blood tests. I don't see the point.
