Yesterday, my parents, myself and DS, made our way to a family wedding in Saskatoon (DH is on his annual fishing trip). We were on the road for 12 hours!! It's a 9 hour trip, but stopped for lunch, a layover in Regina for my dad to do some business, and 1 extra DS stop.
Even though it was loooong, DS did great! Since I was in the back, we just slept, ate, read, played with toys, chatted, cooed, etc. I was surprised it was so easy!
We got in at 8:30, went for dinner in the hotel restaurant and put DS down at 10. He sttn and has napped well so far today.
Crossing my fingers that he's just as content on the way home!
Re: AW- Road trip: 12 hours!
Isn't that such a relief? We took DS on a road trip to Portland last week for a wedding, 13 hours, and I was so nervous. But like your LO DS was great! It was actually kind of nice to have so much time with him in the back just playing.
The return trip was just as nice.
