bra ideas/solutions? help needed!

...and they just keep getting bigger! Having been a 36b for most of my adult life, the current boob/bra situation is a little shocking. I bought a 36c and a 36d "to grow into" at Marshall's about a month ago, and today the 36c is unbearable, while the 36d is starting to get a little tight. Any advice? Should I just keep buying bigger bras? Is there some style that will last me longer? On a positive note, DH is thrilled, lol...I was hypothesizing with another pg friend that the growing boobs are a great way to distract DH's from our otherwise growing girth.

  • I am also wondering about this. I started out this time with a 34 DD and I've already had to go up a few sizes. That's all I've been doing, I don't know of any special bra.

Lol, at them distracting DH. It's so true!

  • Maybe go to Target and try on a nursing bra? Usually those will expand with your growing boobs. Also, they're 'easy access'. (My DH has told me that.)

  • i plan on going to jockey and buying inexpensive bras until the boobs are done growing and then I'll pick up nursing bras.

  • Nursing bras or sports bras. Have you tried "bra extender"?

  • Before you move up another cup size, you might also find that going up a band size helps.  Most bands have three hook settings so if you try a 38D and it fits now on the tightest closure, you have two more settings to expand it on before you end up having to go up another cup or band size.
  • I just went to a maternity store and got some sleep bras and two maternity bras.  They have them without the underwire and it feels so much better on my ribcage.  They will not continue to grow at the same rate they have grown until now.  Mine went from a 34DD to a 36E and from my experience I might need an extender for the back if I carry this baby like my last (under my ribcage) but the boobs themselves will not grow larger until they get engorged after the baby is born.

I have no problem with bras at Target, just make sure you get some good support for your breasts.  Because they will deflate after the baby and you want to make sure they don't end up at your waist!  LOL!
