First I wish to clear something up ? I only ordered the cake for my boss ? he paid for it. I did however bake 72 cup-cakes myself to bring in because there are 110 people in the company which use the break room and I did not want anyone left out. The donuts were gotten using our coupons for free one which is part of the coffee fund. So the only thing I really gave was a banner which my DH had already made to hang in the house and 68 cup-cakes (sorry DH helped iced them so I lost 4 for his help). I did talk with the lady at the bakery because I placed the order for the cake when she called back to see if I wanted the word ?Congrats? on it since she thought I was ordering my own cake as did Mrs. D Whitney in a posting to my post ? I did change the wording to ?baby on the way? which she and I thought was more appropriate as suggest by Mrs. Whitney. I wish to thank her for that suggestion. It worked out wonderfully.
I am sorry that the original posting made yesterday was so miss understood. Blame it on ?pregnancy brain? which is sometimes just too much to tolerate.
Two ladies in the office with me said they suspected it - that I was pregnant; but, reluctant to ask. They put up the banner - decorated the break room when I came in with the cup-cakes, cake, and donuts this morning for me. I had plenty of help with the refreshments being brought in by those guys who got everything out of my van for me so I only had to bring in my purse. What a great bunch of guys.
WOW! Today everyone was so completely surprised when they came into the break room seeing it all decorated with pink/blue balloons (thanks to DH) together with my banner ? a cake, donuts, and cup-cakes. I don?t believe anyone who came in getting either a cup-cakes, donuts, or piece of cake didn?t come by wishing me good luck, health - with a healthy baby ?BOY? but none said girl. I did only make it in with 68 of the 72 cup-cakes thanks to DH giving me a hand icing them last night. I don?t really mind though because he helped out. He?s a child himself; but, don?t tell him I said that!
Back to the two ladies who took over decorating the break room - one has a daughter my age who is also expecting her second - January 19th. I told her good luck that is for her daughter also becoming grand-ma again. The other is in her early 30?s with three children at home.
Re: Follow-up on ?How I?m telling co-workers ? ?
I guess i just think this is strange because it is not like this was a baby shower and you still did all this for yourself... maybe its just me but it still seems a little AW-ish!
BUT whatever floats your boat! At least you got food out of it.
This just makes me so sad. Sadder than throwing your own announcement party with banner, balloons and dessert for 110 people. Do people not understand that without girls the race would not continue? I weep.

Awww I was waiting for the overly polite "kill them with kindness" post.
I do not know why I think this way - especially this early! It is going to be a little GIRL ...

No! DH is the culprit on the missing ones he ate two last night and then took two with him to work today.
Oh! That little one in the bakers cap is he after cup-cakes also? I bet he can put them away ? Ha-Ha
He is just so cute ? I like the pictures.
Wilma
Woah. That was intense.
Here's how I did it.... I went into school, found my two most loud mouth, gossipy co-teachers I work with, then let them have a hell of a time spreading the news. Good times.
Glad we cleared up what happened to the missing cupcakes.
Yeah, because I certainly didn't understand what happened to those 4 cupcakes the first two times she mentioned them. I thought she just forgot them, or ate them herself. I really wanted to know why there were only 68 that she brought to work instead of the 72 she baked.
Why didn't you tell us you were the lead singer of Paramore? No wonder you were trying to hide your true identity.. but we found yooooou.
I seriously cannot tell if you are being sarcastic or serious about her picture. Yes I realize you know she isn't actually Haille or whatever her name is but I mean more so that she was trying to be someone else because her picture is not of her. Just because someones avatar is not of them doesn't mean anything. I know someone has Angelina Jolie as their avatar and they are def. not her. Maybe she just likes Paramore?
"Wilma" is still a troll, not a malicious one, just a strange one. That skankilicious cheerleader picture her grandfather took...yeah, it's actually a pic of some Mexican singer named Dulce Marie.
Yeah the picture she made such a big deal about because it was the last picture her grandpa took of her before he died. hahaha. Okay.
I know. I understand it and get it, I figured she wasn't real from the start. What I do not get is why it is a big deal. None of her posts or replies upset our board or any other board so I don't understand the need to create anything about it or put the time and effort in it to prove who she isn't. But oh well, that is just me.
The level of detail astounds me. I only wish Wilma were on twitter so I could know every minute of her day.
Karrizma - I love that you figured out the singer, how did you pinpoint that it was Dulce Maria? Google images sadly didn't give me the original cheerleading shot, but that pose and sultry look cannot be replicated.
Allysun - if it doesn't amuse you, don't worry about it. I think it's hilarious. She's not malicious yet but we'll see.
As much as I'd love to take credit for it I didn't figure it out, Greenclown did. I was just passing it along
Haha no kidding, I was thinking he same thing!!
