CD3 internal U/S Question

Sorry this will be a post and run, but I will check back as soon as I get another break.

I have my internal U/S tomorrow and at that point I will get the clomid to start as well. I have never done a U/S when I was on AF so this is a really silly question- but for anyone that has had one- Do you wear a tampon before the appointment and take it out when you get undressed? I figured it would be less messy as opposed to wearing a pad... Thanks for some insight!

    I always ask to use the restroom at the RE's office before a date with the dildo cam, even if I don't have my period, because a full blader just makes it all more uncomfortable. When I have my period, I remove my tampon at that time. And then I pop back into the restroom before leaving. Good luck!

    Trust me, it's not a silly question! In the rooms that I get my U/S they have a seperate bathroom in the room....there they have a supply of tampons and pads.  I always wear a tampon before.  Good Luck with the U/S!

    thanks girls! I have had my run in with the infamous cam many of times... but when AF is in town, its pretty much no mans landBig Smile

    Yeah thats what I do. I take it out while getting undressed. Then I use one of their wipes they provide to clean up down there before they go in. Then after its done I use another wipe to clean up the mess from them and replace my tampon. They provide tampons, pads, wipes, and paper towels.

    I've never been in that situation before (my periods are really short so by CD3 I'm not really bleeding anymore), but if I were in that situation, that's what I would do.

    The nurses at my RE's office always walk me to my room to put my stuff down and then tell me to go ahead and use the restroom before the RE comes in, which the bathrooms are always next door or immediately across the hall from an examining room, which is nice.
