How long did sex hurt for you?

For those who have had vaginal births, how long did it take for sex to no longer be painful? We've had sex 3 times since 7 weeks post-partum and it doesn't seem to be improving at all.

It never hurt for me and it's actually better than before I had babies

Only briefly the first time.... since then, sex has been pretty great. I had a very fortunate place to have a tear, which made me tighter.. lol

We use the CRAP out of some astro-glide though, let me tell ya.

With my son it stopped hurting after I got my period back at 8 months pp. I am sure it had to do with the hormones adjusting.

It never actually hurt that much for me, but the first time (7 weeks pp) there was some rubbing that was kind of irritating. Since then, I still feel the rubbing a bit towards the end, but all in all it's pretty freakin' good

I think some of the rubbing might be caused by the condoms since I haven't had my IUD put in yet.

Still does. It gets progressively less hurty every time though. I keep telling myself I'd rather be too tight than too loose

We started back up at 5 weeks PP--but we've only done it a handful of times, because it is still sort of sore and ucky for me. I had a lot of tearing, and I think part of the irritation problem for me now is having to use condoms. They're just not comfortable. My BCP is effective as of next weekend, though, and we have a babysitter for DD . . . I suspect I'll be getting lucky.

It still hurts for me, but it gets a little better each time. I think that the more lube the better...and some positions are better than others for right now.
