Help! Dropping the paci...

DD just switched to the 18-24mo class at school and they said they were going to start weaning her from the paci (just uses it at nap/bedtime). I said "great"! Picked her up today and they said she napped just fine without it...I was shocked.

SO..... I put DD to bed and she says "uh oh, paci?" I say "no" and give her her blankie and teddy bear and say our prayer and walk out. She started crying. I let her be a few minutes then went back in and offered more bedtime milk, tucked her back in, gave hug and kiss and walked back out. She was quiet for a bit but has started crying again...it's been at least 10 minutes.

What do I do? Give her the paci? Tough it out?

Not sure if I should "cold turkey" this paci thing or let her drop it at school naps and let her have it at night for a bit longer....
