warning.. NEVER pi$$ off the pregnant woman.

Today at work we had a very nasty patient.  He was cursing, yelling and causing a scene.  I felt bad for my coworker so I went up to see what I could do.  I tried to refocus him so I tried to help him.  He continued to yell so basically I yelled back  "you can spend the next 20 minutes wasting time yelling or I can get you set up for your appt but make up your mind or we'll move on to the next patient"

I take over and things go well.  Again he starts up, security has to come and again crazy hormonal pregnant lady takes over.  Told him very loudly "I have enough work to do and I'll happily go back to that until you decide to behave"  he was a good boy after that.

I'm normally so quiet and try to talk soothing to patients to get them to calm down.  My coworker's and I think I must be carrying a boy because suddenly I have balls..

    I used to work in an out patient physical therapy clinic, patients can get pretty crazy. I dont get too angry these days I get emotional.

    I work in a 40+ speciality outpatient clinic.. and I also am an psych intake coordinator.. fun times. This year I've already had a pt threaten to shoot us.  Had another pull a gun on our parking attendent because he did not want to pay $6.00.  just so much fun..
