we're going with white furniture and if it's a girl, we're throwing ladybugs in the mix... if its a boy, I have a ton of black and white animal portraits I want to hang everywhere. What do you guys think? Am I nuts?
I love it and think it's very sophisticated! I think the dots and stripes make it look more "babyish". I think you can make it feel more like a nursery with other decorations. You don't have to have ducks and lambs to make it feel like a nursery. What color are you planning on painting?
I have been looking for a damask (sp?) one, because I really like the look. I think I'll only get damask if it's a girl though...and mix with purple, green, or pink.
i thought it might be a little girly for a boy, too but DH likes it and it's the first pattern he's liked. We're wanting to do something neutral so that's why it's been a bit of a booger. I must have shown him a dozen already but these have been the big contenders so far:
Cocalo Creme Brulee
IKEA Fabler series stuff
A classic pooh theme
Obviously, none of these struck our fancy enough to stick around but I'm realllllly happy that DH likes the black and white damask. Wish me luck with my very particular huzzzzband.
It's very pretty, but IMO, it doesn't ring baby to me (besides fitting a crib, of course :-D). But if you love it, use it!! I always think of baby as very colorful. Like I said, it is very pretty, and I think will make your nursery look very sophisticated and lovely.
Re: crib set... is it not baby-ish enough?
I love it! Where did you find it?

Great, thanks!
And PS--love the idea of adding ladybugs or animals. Great way to make it work for either sex!

I love it! But, like pps, I'd probably only use it for a girl.
