I had an appointment to meet a new OB today. He was amazing. Absolutely amazing (if you're in my area, and in need of a VBAC, let me know). But we found out today that the baby's heart stopped beating at 12w3d. So almost 3 weeks ago.
We're in shock. There were no signs of anything being wrong.
I think I'm opting for the D&C, but I'm going to sleep on it. If you have advice on that front, I'd appreciate the insight. I'll probably pop on now and then to see if I can offer any insight...and always, always feel free to page me or PM me if you have car seat questions. I'll always be happy to answer them.
oh, and if you happen to be someone I know on FB, please don't say anything yet.

I am so so sorry for your loss. I had a D&C at 11 weeks and felt it was the best thing for me emotionally.
If there is anything you want to ask me about it, or more details please let me know. I don't want to put too much info on here right now in case you're not ready to hear it, so if you need anything let me know. You will be in my t & p, and again I am so so so sorry you have to go through this.

I am so, so sorry. I wish no one had to go through this, and especially not in the relative safety of 2nd tri. I am thinking of you and sending you strength.
As for the D&C, I would strongly recommend it. For me, it provided the sense of finality that I needed to move on emotionally. I tried waiting it out for over a week after I was diagnosed, and it was just too hard to go through every day knowing that it might be "the day." I was in and out of the hospital in about three hours, and didn't bleed after the first day. There was no pain and I was able to try again after a month.

I'm so sorry for your loss, hun. I hope you find peace, comfort, and support on the loss boards. They helped me find the light at the end of the tunnel.

no!! I am so terribly sorry! Life is so unfair. I hate seeing posts like this. . I am so sorry you are dealing with that. I will pray for you and your family as you go through this.
