1st drive by belly rubbing....

Wow I forgot how much I hate that! The only time I don't mind it is if it's me, DH, the Dr or now DD. Other than that, no touching! Especially now, because I feel like it's way too early for them to have something to rub!

Re: 1st drive by belly rubbing....

  • Ha!  I can related.

I broke the news to a friend of mine last weekend at dinner and post-dinner, she looked at me and said she could see my baby bump.  She leaned over and rubbed it. Not a stranger, but besides DH, my first rub!

    It felt weird....and early...but I am showing!

I agree.  When the belly is huge then it doesn't bother me.  But right now, I am not really showing so it is silly to rub on my fat and bloat.  Plus,  I can't imagine rubbing anyones belly without asking.  How rude.

My mil did this to me when I first told her I was pregnant with our daughter.  I was only 7 weeks pregnant and she started rubbing my belly.  It totally freaked me out.  I told her never to do that!  She looked at me like I had slapped her, but she didn't ever do it again, even when I was huge.  LOL!
