HI! In the childcare cost post below, you mentioned that you are in the S Loop. We are too and are just starting to look into childcare. Have you looked at any of the centers around? Thoughts? I don't have any friends in the area so am starting from scratch. We have an appointment at two places on State Street on Monday. I am somewhat leaning toward a nanny or nanny share but want to check out all options - which there don't seem to be many in the neighborhood.

This is the one I have gone to check out cause it is so close to us. I know there are others a bit further south, like Kinder Care but I have not heard much about them. We have not looked much into a nanny since we do not know anyone in the city that we could share with, which is what I think we would have to do to have a nanny.
How did your appointments go? What did you think?
My daughter is at the KinderCare in Lincoln Park and I love it. I always feel confident that she is safe and well cared for there. She seems to have a lot of fun too! She started there at 4 mo and she is 10 mo now. The assistant director from the LP location went down to the South Loop location to be the director (Darcy). She is fantastic. I'd definitely recommend checking them out. I don't know much about that location, but Darcy is great, so I assume she is running a nice place down there.

We are also in the south loop and due in December. We are looking at nanny shares also but don't anyone in our area either. I plan on posting on NPN when the time comes closer. Keep me in mind as you make you decision as we may be interested in meeting up!
