So I'm sitting at Panera working on grad school work resisting the urge to call DCP. We got to DC a little before 8 and she was falling asleep in the car but of course wakes up when I take out her carrier. She was fine but I knew she was tired. I should've left right away but I was going over stuff with DCP when she began to freak out. I'm pretty sure it's b/c she was tired. DCP took her and told me to go ahead and go, she would get her down and not to worry about it. Thankfully there are only 2 others there today, ages 4 and 2. They were very excited to see her and did not want to leave her alone which I'm sure didn't help matters either. I'm leaving here around 11 to go get her and hoping to hear she calmed down quickly!
Re: I left an unhappy baby :(
I have been thinking about you all morning! I am sorry that the drop off didn't go too well. It is 11 as I write this, so you are probably on your way to go rescue her from daycare.
It does get easier, or at least more routine. I hope you enjoy your afternoon.
Aw
I'm sure she'll be ok but that doesn't mean it's easy to leave an upset baby
Hope the DCP has nothing but happy news for you & that your daughter has nothing but big smiles for you!
Aw, poor you! I still have a hard time leaving DS when is is upset.
If DS falls asleep in the car on the way there, we just let him sleep in the car seat when he gets to DC. (One of the reasons I am NOT looking forward to switching to a convertible car seat instead of the infant seat, since he still does this a few days a week!)
I'm sure she did great though!
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
