I just have to share this story with you ladies because I know how much you'll "appreciate" it....
I have a friend/colleague who has just relocated OOT. We're connected on LinkedIn but not FB, so I just tried to search for her there to send a friend request. Her name didn't immediately pop up, so I just put in her last name hoping I'd stumble across her. As I'm combing through literally hundreds of people with her last name I find two people (who I eventually deduce must be husband & wife) whose profile pics were of a positive EPT brand pg test.
I don't even know these people and it kinda turned my stomach and made me roll my eyes. You just know they probably didn't post anything; just did one of those AW moves of changing their pics and sitting back to wait for the "OMG!! Squeee"'s to come pouring in.
Re: S/O snarky--must mock FB stranger (warning: ticker inside)
Exactly! DH and I know a couple other people who are pregnant and a few weeks further along than I am. At least they both had the decency to wait until their 20-week u/s to post anything on FB. They're both DH's family/friend so I wouldn't tell him this, but I still secretly want to throat punch them, too.
I feel like, if I don't see someone IRL or at least have an email-outside-of-FB-posts relationship with them, they probably don't need to know anything until after we're home from the hospital. Or more likely, if/when I ever see them again in 5 or 10 years.
