Weight Loss Weekly Check-In

Hello Ladies!

This is the weekly weight loss check-in post for anyone who is on any kind of regime.  It can help us all stay motivated as we share where we are with our goals.

So...how are you doing?  How much do you want to lose and how are you planning to do it?  Did you experience any struggles this week?  How did you overcome them?  Also feel free to share any recipes or tips you have learned!

Re: Weight Loss Weekly Check-In

  • I'm not doing great...as mentioned last week, the birthday celebrations got the best of me, and I had an awful week that ended with me not weighing in.

That being said, this is a new week, and it's going pretty well. I've lost 9.8 lbs so far, and I want to lose an additional 28.6 lbs. That would get me back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I'd like to lose another 10 lbs after that, but I'm trying to focus on one goal at a time! I don't have any special recipes, but I did want to say that the new Laughing Cow light queso fresco & chipotle cheese wedges are delicious! I've been putting two wedges on a La Tortilla Factory high-fiber tortilla with a tbsp of bacon pieces for a 3-point lunch. It's not an inexpensive combination, but I've come to accept that eating healthy foods is more expensive than eating unhealthy foods.

  • I LOST 2.8 POUNDS this week!!  That's a total of 4 pounds on the way to my goal of 16lbs.  I am doing Weight Watchers Online and this was my second week on the plan.  I'm very excited to be losing!  My struggles are pretty much always the same...beer & family get togethers--the summer is a challenging time to start a diet!  I've tried to overcome them by filling up on healthy stuff and allowing myself 'just a bite' of the stuff I'd rather be eating. Ha ha!

I also find that I'm a boredom eater...if I'm watching a show or just relaxing after the kids go to bed, I'd sit there and mindlessly eat a snack.  Now I'm asking myself if I'm really hungry or just bored.  If I'm just bored, I get up and find something to do - my house is getting a lot cleaner for the reason! LOL!

  • I just started week 5 of Prism yesterday.  I have lost 14.5 pounds in a month!  I know my overall goal is far away and prob won't happen until after we have another baby, and we are going to ttc soon.  I have always been overweight and it was difficult for me to choose a goal because I honestly did not even know where to begin with setting one.  I am thisclose to my pre-pregnancy weight with Ethan (wasn't exercising and gained some after stopping bf) I feel much better about myself physically and mentally that I am taking care of myself, eating healthy, and working out.  I have honestly not done a regular workout plan since doing Jazzercise before we got married - there I said it!!  Embarrassed I am using myfitnesspal.com to count calories (1200/day max for me) and Ryan is actually doing the same... he is doing a much higher calorie count but he is trying to eat healthy and said he isn't having headaches now that he has cut his sugar intake!  We started doing P90 last week, we took a break over the weekend because we did a lot of projects at home, but have done it 5 out of the last 7 days, and Saturday night we went out walking.  I had my annual exam with a new OB last week and he said that I could continue the plan but to increase my calories 500-600 per day in addition when we get pregnant.  Excited to have you ladies as a support as well.  Keep up the good work!!!

  • I am traveling this week, so I can't weigh in until I get back tomorrow night or Friday morning, but I am trying hard to eat healthy while away.  Lots of grilled chicken and salads.  I did have mexican last night, but got to the gym for 45 minutes.  Plan on getting to they gym for 45 minutes tonight too.

I travel quite a bit for work, so I am trying hard to keep on plan (I am doing weight watchers) while I am away.  I haven't written down what I have eaten this week, but thats the goal for the next few days.

  • Down 31 pounds from the day I had Jackson - my "diet" right now is breastfeeding and eating well. It hasn't been too difficult - I'm motivated to eat well because I know it will make BF better for J. If anything - I need to make sure I'm eating enough!

I gained 44 lbs while pregnant so I'm just 13 pounds away from my pre-preg weight, then I want to lose about 30 more.
