So this morning, after weeks and weeks of the Couch to 5k plan, I actually ran 5k (actually 5.11k, to be exact) in a little under 32 minutes. I'm SO excited that I finally did it. This is officially the longest and farthest I have ever run. Now I'm ready to enter a race!

Re: AW: Fantastic Morning (NTTGPR)
Yay that is awesome! I am actually doing C25K right now too, so that gives me hope!
And I am not a runner AT ALL!
That's awesome, congratulations!
I'm working up to running (with no walking breaks) a 5k in about a month, and I'm up to about 2.5 miles at the most right now. I can't wait to be where you're at!

That's awesome, congratulations!
When you say it took you weeks and weeks to get to this point, how long was it really? And how often did you train per week? I'm off to googling C25k, but would be interested in your personal experience.
That is awesome! I remember my first race, such a great feeling at the finish line!
I thought that Couch to 5k was a great program. I followed it really strictly for the first 7 weeks or so. Then when I got to 8 I just started running as long as I could. According to the plan you run 5k from the beginning of week 9. Today is 10 weeks exactly from the day I started, so I guess I more or less followed the plan.
I would 100% recommend it. It was a great program that really helped me get to longer distances. I'm thinking about doing the Bridge to 10k program at some point in the future.
It sounds like a great program. Especially since it's only 3 days a week, that sounds like a healthy amount of time to me. :-)
Good job in achieving your goal!
