We received a diaper stacker at my shower last weekend and I am thinking about returning it. We are planning to cloth diaper the LO, so we won't have a big stack of disposable diapers to put in the stacker. Are there any other good uses for it?
We're using ours, but, only because we got a diaper cake made with a bunch of size 3 diapers and I thought since we have it, might as well use it for storage. Otherwise, it would have most likely ended up at the bottom of a drawer.
I have never understood what they are for. Is it just because people don't want to have to find space in a drawer for diapers or something?
Well we used one and no I was not lazy to find room in my childs drawer. Her room is small and I only had room for one dresser so we used it as the chaging table aswell. I wanted everything right there to chage her diapers. I did not have room in her drawers because they had her clothes in them and only had enough room on top of the dresser for the pad and a basket which held rash cream, lotion things like that. Just because someone uses it does not mean they dont want to find space for things it may be because they dont have the space and want everything close by so they are not having to carry a naked child around because they forgot something.
pp- If your doing cloth and cant use it I would take it back.
Thank you for all of the responses. I'll return it. We plan on buying a dresser with six drawers and putting a changing pad on top, so we will have plenty of room in the drawers for the stash of cloth diapers.

That sounds like a great plan.
We have the 8-drawer Hemnes dresser from Ikea. While we aren't CDing, we came up with a plan to use one of the bottom drawers to store the larger stash of diapers for now, and then we have a small cloth box sitting on the top of the dresser for changing the diapers immediately. DH wanted to use one of the top drawers, but that would mean I'd have to step back a little to get a diaper out.

I use it to hold blankets and I like it that way, but it came with the bedding set. If it had been a separate piece, I doubt I would have gotten or kept it.
#2's bedding is separates, not a set, so I'm not getting a diaper stacker for her room.
Re: Does a diaper stacker have any other use?
Dust collector??

I would just return it if I were you.
I agree with the PP who said it is simply a dust collector!
