Please promise me that when you take your tween/preteen daughter to the doctor for her checkup you don't say "Oh gosh!" when the nurse announces her weight and then follow up with "don't worry...your clothes add at least a few pounds."

She was 88 pounds, and not particularly short. I remember I was 105 lbs in 6th grade at 5'4!

my mother is GREAT at saying tactful comments like that. I would NEVER say anything like that to DD. I cant imagine how girls will be when she turns that age. Being underweight will be the new fat. Ugh!!
