1st Trimester

Repost from Apr11.. (re preparing for puking)

I just threw up all the grapes I just ate. I think I feel *better*! The grapes were mellow and easy. I'm not looking forward to all other foods lol! Now, I'm taking three classes this semester and they start next week. I am so afraid of getting sick in them and am almost second guessing my choice to take them. But, I need these classes now and I'm really looking forward to going to school again. I know some of you are worried about work etc. What are your plans?

  • I'm worried because I'm taking on so much for the fall. Fall semester starts in a couple of weeks (just finished summer semester), and I'll be doing school full time and work full time. And of course pregnant full time. I'm stressed already.

  • Oh try not to stress! I know, I know, easier said than done! As long as I'm feeling okay I feel like I'll be just fine. So far it's hard just to get out of the house so I'm afraid that I won't be able to focus sitting in a classroom. Ugh. Good luck! We'll both get through it all together, right?
  • I'm a teacher and the summer is quickly ending...:( I'm worried about what I'll do with a normal amount of sleep and having to work all day!! Will I fall asleep during staff meetings??? I'm going to have to eat in front of the kids. There's no way not to. But I've always been cool about them snacking. I'm just hoping that since I start my 2nd tri during the 2nd week of school that I'll be okay!

I just got hired for this afterschool tutoring program that pays $45 a hour. It starts in Oct/Nov and runs through Feb/March which is perfect for me. I'm thinking about staying home, so any extra money helps. And my mom is all like, "Aren't you going to be too tired? Do you think that is a good idea?" I hope I can prove her wrong. :)

So far no m/s (*knock on wood*), but I know its still early. Hopefully you can find something to help with the nausea. I cant imagine running out of class to the bathroom all the time!

Ugh me either. I'm in zofran, but it obviously isn't stopping the vomiting and only makes the nausea bearable. Phenegren I've heard makes you way drowsy so that's out. Man this is so frustrating.
  • Try to keep peppermints or ginger candy with you. It helps to ease the nauseated feeling. Good luck in school!!
  • You will find a way... It is hard but you can do it.  When I was pregnant with DD#1 I was teaching and coaching full time.  I would leave the house at 7 in the morning and get home at 7 or 8 at night... I was exhausted and sick but I found a way.  It is never as bad as you anticipate.  Good Luck!
