Sorry if it's been asked on here on the past, I haven't been posting for too long. We've talked about it before I got pg and are thinking we might want to be team green. DH likes the idea of being the one to come out afterward and make the announcement to the family. We've had a boy and girl name picked out for ages. The nursery will probably be owls/birds/trees regardless of whether it's a boy or girl. Green is my favorite color anyway! Honestly, I know my family and they will go OVERBOARD with clothes so I thought team green might also help them wait until the baby is born to spoil him/her.

We might change our minds, but I kind of have always thought it would be fun to be a surprise!
Re: Anyone team green?
We are team green as well. My husband is excited to make the announcement to everyone as well!
We were team green with DD and will be with this one. It wasn't my choice, but DH didn't want to know and since he really doesn't have an opinion about a ton of things, I figured I'd give in to this one thing. Now we are hooked. It kept me from spending a ton of money, and while I didn't get to go crazy decorating, I think what I did after she was born is pretty awesome.
It was absolutely indescribable finding out in the delivery room. She came out and they laid her on my chest and no one said anything! I finally asked "Sooo, is it a boy?" (I was convinced it was a boy, we didn't even have a girls name picked) and then they looked and DH said, "Oh my gosh! What are we going to name her?!" It was hilarious. I looked at her for days and would say, "You're a girl!" It was just awesome and I recommend it to everyone!

We're finding out. First, like many of the others, I'm a planner so I couldn't take it otherwise. Second, I'm not that much of a fan of green and yellow to start with, and clothing and gift choices become very limited when you stray away from those gender neutral colors. Third, my sister and two cousins have all had babies in the last few years and all dying to give me their umpteen totes of clothes; my cousins live out of state, so there will have to be some advance planning on what needs to be sent or I won't get it until baby is 23! The nursery is going to be in blues to match some peace sign decals I already have, so it will be gender neutral even though it is blues.
My brother-in-law and his wife waited and thought it was great - I think there will be plenty of surprises anyway, and so many things that can be planned ahead of time knowing this one thing! But kudos to those of you who are waiting!
We found out the gender with DD, and we will probably do so for this baby too! I loved knowing what we were having, and the surprise was just as much fun in the ultrasound room. And I loved planning the nursery....but I love pink and girly things, so finding out was perfect for us.
Regardless of when you find out, it's still so exciting!
We are Team Green!
Yes, I am a planner, but I can plan just as well without knowing girl or boy. Plus, as a planner I am rarely genuinely surprised about much so this will be the ultimate suprise at the end of a long 40 weeks :-)
Also, I prefer gender neutral decor anyway. It can go way beyond green and yellow, and I'm not a fan of all pink and blue anyway. We will probably be doing some combo of orange, aqua and soft grey with white.
