When: Between 10 and 11 months. Why: Because DD was ready.
Lil Miss was outgrowing her swaddle, plus she was more more active (fully crawling, pulling up, etc.) so she wanted more freedom of movement. We started at nap time with a crocheted blanket, and then began using it more and more at bed time.
oh, I see. I was concerned when Lil Miss started rolling too, especially since she could roll from back to stomach for a week before she cold roll stomach to back. But, like S, Lil Miss wiggled at least an arm out every night.
Then once she was rolling both ways, I no longer worried. Will S sleep un-swaddled? My LO wouldn't sleep a full night at that age un-swaddled.
I don't know....I'm afraid to try, LOL! I do allow her to have her left arm unswaddled b/c, ya know, she's an addicted thumb sucker & will cry if she cannot get to it--little 12 lbr won that battle & I'm not up for another battle at it.
