BRU changing registry items???

Has anyone had this problem?  I've noticed that we have registered for some items and then all of a sudden we have a different similar product in our registry but not what we registed for.  For example, there's 3-piece duck bath toy: a fireman, a police man and I think an EMT.  We registered for it and my registry is constanly changing it to some girly 3-piece duck bath toy.  No matter how many times I change it, it always defaults it back..I eventually just deleted it.  Also - I added a doggie pacifier, doggie teether and a doggie pull toy - all three were changed to different animals.  So...I went and fixed it, checked my resgistry and so far they are still dogs.  Unfortunetly tomorrow it will proably be changed to another animal.  Is anyone else having a simliar problem?

    No but our PNP that we registered for keeps getting taken off. I can't find anywhere that it is being discontinued but it just is gone! Very annoying. I can find it and add it but sometimes there isn't a pick of the crib and sometimes there is only a fabric swatch... it is the Graco Wilko print. Oh well, probably find a different one!

    Yep- I had the same thing keep happening to me too!  I registered for this cute "blue cow" toy and they kept changing it to a purple lion or something like that...I finally just took it off and put it on my amazon wish list.  So annoying.

    yup, same here! i registered for a super cute pink "daddy's girl" pacifier and everytime i turned around it was some blue one with polka dots. i just took it off, bc it annoyed the crap out of me.

    i registered for playtex drop in bottles, and they keep switching back and forth between boy and girl. im not sure which i registered for, i think boy, because they had fish on them and i was like fish with blue and green lids are neutral... but it bothers me.

    I am a lurker but I spoke to BRU about this. Apparently, when you register for that has multiple similar options the registry automatically updates it to the item with the most in stock. It is dumb, if I wanted that one I would have registered for that one!

    This.  My friend asked in the store why things kept switching on her registry and this is what she was told.  So annoying!  Right now I have pink pacifiers showing up on my registry for my baby boy!

    So this makes me wonder what happens when someone goes and prints out the registry? Do they then end up getting the pink pacifier instead of the blue that you wanted? That's crazy!

    I'll have to tell you - Buy Buy Baby annoyed me as well. Although they have great customer service, I wasn't a fan of their "time savers" being added to my registry. I wish I had told them not to add them...now I want to delete stuff and I'm like, well maybe I shouldn't? But I know I should (things that Baby Bargians does not recommend like the little outlet plug protectors that have the prongs).

    That is so stupid. This really makes me annoyed to the point where I don't even want to register there anymore but I'm sure I will anyways. I'll just make sure to register for most of the stuff at Target and the remaining at BRU. I can't imagine having a boy and showing you registering for girl stuff, or vice versa.

    It happens when something is temporarily out of stock - the registry automatically substitutes something similar.  I'm not sure if it reverts back once the item you selected is back in stock.
