Answer OP kit ???

I am currently using the Answer OP kit. According to the instructions you will always have a control line and you may also have a lite test line when you are not in the LH surge and a dark test line when you are in the LH surge. Up until a couple of days ago I only had the control line even though I was way into my cycle. Then on CD20 a slight test line appeared. Not as dark as the instructions said it would be but definitely a 2nd line. And now I am back to only the control line again.

So what do you think? Do you think I O'ed that day? Has anyone else used the testing kit and have any ideas?

The test line has to be as dark at the control on an OPK. You may have O'd and missed your surge, or maybe haven't at all even.

what if is was dark but just not as wide as the control line?

From what I've been reading it depends one each test. Some test say that if part of the line is as dark as the control line then it counts. Some will only count if at least half of the line is as dark as the control line. You can call the customer service number to ask if you aren't sure. Or try their website. Just in case. I prefer to test twice per day just to be sure I don't miss it. But, when you go months without ovulating then you tend to be extra paranoid. HTH.

I used the Answer OPK's last cycle. I went from nothing but the control lines, to a line maybe a shade lighter than the control line. It was just about as dark and wide as the control line. I ran out of tests at that point but if the test line is lighter than the control line then chances are it's a negative, sorry

/ I bought internet cheapies from Amazon this time around and started charting.

Do you chart? You'd be able to determine your O date better if you did that on top of the OPK's....

Those are the brand I used this past cycle -

I only tested 1 time a day and at first the test line was visible but no where near as dark as the reference line, then closer to my O date (see FF link below to look at my chart) it got closer to being as dark but still not there. Finally it was without a doubt as dark as the reference line (it doesn't have to be as think of a line, just the color is important).

I'd say you either missed your O date or you haven't O'd yet. Are you charting your temps? I highly recommend you start - that's the only way to tell for sure that you did actually O and FF is pretty accurate from what I'v eseen in predicting when you O'd.

I'd say whether you start to temp or not, I'd start using OPKs twice a day to make sure you didn't miss it!

Yeah I chart, you don't see the ticker? Or was that not aimed towards me?

Obviously my timing was off last month cause I'm not PG but this time I stocked up on OPK's and plan on using more than one a day now that I know most people do so and I started charting, well see. GL to you!
