about sex after d&c (or miscarriage in general)

Mine said 1 week but I see 2 weeks everywhere. Just wondering what info you all received from your doc

    I'm no help, my Dr said 3 weeks, I have heard 4 weeks, 1 week, 3 days...

     

    I wish I knew so I could have some sex myself!

    I was kind of sleepy from anethesia after my D and C so DH got the "instructions" from the doctor because I never would have remembered them. She told him, two weeks.

    My own doctor said to wait until all bleeding/spotting stopped (which was 7 days for me) but the doctor who did the D&C told DH 2 weeks.  We waited for 2 weeks and 3 days.  First time was this past Saturday.  It had been nearly 4 weeks from the last time.  For nearly all of September, I was waiting to miscarry (which never happened) so sex was pretty much not on the table.  Poor DH. It's nice to finally feel "normal" again. I am even hoping to O here soon.

    Thanks ladies. It's been 1 week for me since my d&c and that's when my instructions say its ok. I think I'm going to wait one more day to make sure the bleeding has really stopped. I can't wait to just feel completely normal again.

    Mine said three days after bleeding stopped, which ended up being 3 weeks.

    I found out about my loss before I started bleeding and I basically told DH that he had to do it then - it had been about three weeks.  I really needed that intimacy.  I started bleeding a few days after that and I will wait until I am done bleeding before I attack him again.

    my dr told us to wait until the bleeding stopped.  That was the  only restriction.  I imagine it has something to do with the timing of everything too. We were only 6 weeks.

    I didn't have a D&C, and they said we could go right ahead, but of course we waited a couple of weeks since I was bleeding a lot.

    Mine said to wait 2 weeks after both of my d&cs.  This also coincided with my 2 week followup appointments, so I made sure everything was ok at the appointments first.

    Mine said 4 weeks. I guess it just depends.

    I got differing opinions all around, from 3 different doctors (dr kept me overnight, so saw multiple drs).  However, we planned to wait 2 weeks, which was in the middle of what we heard.  I had a followup earlier than 2 weeks, which showed my cervix was closed, and it was safe to BD.
