I NEED MAJOR HELP!

DS usually stays with my mom during the day while DH and I are at work. Well DH doesn't leave to go to work until 1pm since he works until 10pm so he is with DS until then. My mom told DH and I yesterday morning that she and my dad are going out of town thursday morning and won't be back until sunday night and we needed to get someone to watch DS. So DH called FIL since he is a bus driver and SIL who is a high school student and asked them if they could watch DS thursday and friday. They said that was fine. The only problem is that FIL lives almost 2 hours away from us. So when DH drops me off at work on thursday morning he is taking DS to FIL's house and I won't see DS again until Saturday! I am so scared. DS has never been away from me all night since he was born. I mean DH and I have gone out alone but we have never spent the night away from DS. Please tell me he is going to be ok and not be mad that mommy left him. Just thinking about it is bringing tears to my eyes, but we had a massive termination at work and I can't take off right now and at DH's job the other person that can run the store at night is on vacation. So this is our only other option. I just hope DS isn't mad at me!!!

    Why can't you go pick up DS when you get off work on Friday?  That way he's only gone 1 night.  If that's not possible I'm sure he'll be fine.  It's only 2 nights and will probably be good for everyone.  DS won't be mad at you!

    He wont be mad, trust me. He will have fun with grandpa :) I was worried leaving DD with my parents all night that she would cry or something. They had a bunch of new toys in their living room. I put her down and she could give a damn I wasnt there and didnt even look up when I left...LOL.

    I won't be able to pick him up on Friday evening because I will be working late because of a management meeting. So I will probably be at work until 8 or 9 pm. Then by the time I got to my IL's house it would be 10 or 11 pm and DS would already be sleeping. DH and I will be picking him up on Saturday.

    Your child will be fine and probably have a grand time with his grandfather and aunt.  Think of it as a nice evening off.

    I totally feel your pain!  My MIL watches my son while we work as well and she called me sunday to tell me that her and my FIL were going outta town Thursday afternoon til Sunday (wierd huh?) and I too have NEVER left my DS over night with ANYONE so I really understand how you feel about leaving him.  But, honestly, he will be fine.  He won't hate you or be mad.  He will prolly miss you a bit, but I'm sure Grandpa and his Auntie will keep him busy.  Enjoy your two nights of just you and DH! Wink

    Thanks alot andijane! I am just so nervous. It's deffinitly nice to know that I am not the only mom who is nervous about something like this. Hopefully you will enjoy your time with your DH as well.Wink
