Do I need a Doula and Bradley classes?

I am trying to figure out if I need to take a Bradley class and/or hypnobirthing if I plan on having a Doula in the hospital with me? This is my first birth and I plan on going unmedicated and I only have 12 weeks left.

Also I am looking for a Doula in the Flower Mound area that will go with me to Denton Regional. Any Help?

Re: Do I need a Doula and Bradley classes?

  • this may not be helpful, but it really depends on the kind of support you think you'll want. bradley classes are designed to teach you and your SO what to expect, how to manage your pain, etc.

a doula's role is very different. we didn't use one, but i think we would have if we'd planned a hospital delivery. (our LO was born at the birth center). there is a doula-search at the DONA Int'l site https://www.dona.org/ and a DFW list at https://www.naturalbeginningsonline.com/do_finding.html.
