What do you do about teething in the night?

DD has been occasionally waking up in the middle of the night and I'm pretty sure it's from teething. When I pick her up, she is fine...doesn't fuss. So I don't give her any meds. If she was super upset and couldn't sleep I would.

Anyway, I'm curious to hear what other people do when their babies wake up from teething pain. Do you rock them or try to soothe them any other way? Do you let them fuss back to sleep?

If DS is fine enough to not be fussy when we pick him up before bed (he doesn't need tylenol or anything), we let him fuss himself back to sleep. I don't want to start a habit.

Of course we try to soothe him. Teething is incredibly painful for babies and the disrupted sleep makes it even worse. We do whatever helps. Rocking, shushing, sometimes bed sharing

If DD won't go back to sleep and I can tell she woke up from teething pain I usually give her some Tylenol or teething tablets and rock her back to sleep.

if DD is just fussing, i let her be. if she starts crying, then i'll go get her and soothe her by nursing, or bringing her in bed with us for a little while, then doing the bedtime routine again. if she didn't get it before bed, we'll give her some (generic) tylenol for the pain. DD has her molars coming in right now, so we've been dealing with this. if we give her tylenol before bed, she'll usually sleep through the entire night.
