Nighttime question-potty trained toddlers

What do you have your daytime potty trained kiddo in at bedtime?

I am debating between diapers or pullups?? He doesn't wet most nights, so I want to be able to reuse.

Re: Nighttime question-potty trained toddlers

  • All my potty training friends tell me pull-ups at night.  My gf who has a 5 year old said he still wears pull-ups at night and just uses the same one if its dry in the morning for the next night.

  • We started doing pullups at night when Ben started wanting to get up and pee sixty times between us leaving the room and him falling asleep. But now he doesn't do that anymore so I'm tempted to go back to diapers since they are half the price and he's been leaking in the pullups.

  • We've been doing pull-ups at night with Em. I'm considering going back to diapers because she'll go to the bathroom by herself during the day, but at night or nap sometimes she'll pee in her sleep. I hate pull-ups, she has a harder time getting those down than training pants or diapers, so I'm thinking about going back to diapers at night. My mom told me that I could try using the thicker training pants and doubling them up and then putting the plastic liner over them if I was tired of using pull-ups. My biggest issue is that I feel like I need more pairs if I'm going to do that.

  • Diapers now, but I just bought 3 pair of reusable training pants, so I'll let you know how they go.  The hot weather has been bad: He drinks so much he's usualy wet in the morning now.  But before this he would go 5 nights a week and wake up dry.

I know that is why I like the idea of diapers. I just saw Costco has both on coupon this month, and need to decide which one.  My issue is that the reused diapers leak after him sleeping in them acouple nights.  lol  I am cheapass I guess.

This ds is almost 3 and fully potty trained during the day we use pull-ups at night and reuse if their not wet, which is usually 4 or 5 days a week.

  • we use pull ups at night.  I've never even thought about putting her in a diaper at night.  Surprise

She never wakes up dry. In fact it's super saturated.  BUT, I like the idea of reuseable training pants.... where do you buy them?  It seems that when she gets a pull up on, it's like permission to go potty in it.  Even when reading books and doing puzzles before bed after jammies are on and she will go in it!

I think I'm going to start what someone suggested of letting her go to bed with panties on (yes, we use the P word) and then when we go to bed, getting her up and making her go potty.  Then we'll put on a pull up for the remainder of the night.  I think we'll start that this coming weekend.

I'm not to concerned about her lack of waking up dry.. we give her a water bottle to keep in her room at night.. but the going in the pull up just because she can thing is irratating.

    The internet!

Gerber makes them, but the way their sizing goes Audrey probably needs a juniors 5. Hannah Anderson makes them. This site has a lot of options.
