Intro/First appt. this week...

Hi everyone, my hubby and I are so excited that we are expecting our first baby! I am a newbie to posting to any sort of message board like this but it looks like fun! I have my first appointment this week, and we are both looking forward to that...but I just got off the phone with my mom... We haven't told anyone yet, waiting for another week or two when the timing is right. So like I said, just talked to my mom tonight, and found out she happens to have a dr. appointment at the SAME PLACE, SAME DAY! CRAP!! I tried to casually ask what time, and she was like "Why? Are you going to be in town?!" Ummm...noooo.... Thankfully it's a couple hrs before mine, but still, way to freak me out!! I'm sure we'll laugh about it when we tell them. Anyone else have any close calls? :)

    no close calls, not yet anyway!!! It's hard to keep a secret until after that first appt. ours isn't until Sept. 8th it seems so far way!!! But congrats and welcome!!!

    no close calls for us! we told everyone the day we found out we were expecting!  i know that seems kind of weird, but we knew there was going to be a handful of people that were not going to be very happy about this news, simply because i have serious health issues when i'm pregnant. we decided instead of worry about what these people were going to say, we might as well get it over with, and just tell people. we did, and yeah, we got a few outrageous responses, but they are getting used to the news now.
