I have What to Expect When You're Expecting, which I'm pretty meh about, and Your Pregnancy Week by Week, which I really like! It covers topics weekly, so it's not overwhelming and I think the tone is more conversational than WTE. I also bought DH the Guide to Fatherhood from the Week by Week people, but I don't think he's cracked it open yet.
OMG! Congrats and welcome! I remember you from TTGP. I must've missed your BFP - I'm thrilled for you.
As for books, I really like the pregnancy planner called "40 Weeks - The Essential Pregnancy Organizer". It's got great lists all pre-made for you.
Thanks! I just got my beta today. So it's still sinking in! I will have to check out that book. I like having check lists. That way I don't forget anything.
No pregnancy books either time. Honestly, I did the daily emails from WTE and Babycenter. I didn't think I was missing anything from the books. With my son I bought Baby 411 for product recs.
With each pregnancy I fill out the Belly Book journal. It's my sweet little keepsake.

I found a great one for my husband....."My Boys Can Swim." He loved it because it was short and it was a guy's perspective on pregancy:) It was pretty funny as well as informative for him!
A friend let me borrow, "What To Expect..." and the sister book something like What to eat when you're expecting (which I'm not in love with and has totally unrealistic expectations)
Between my SIL and the girl next door (which DH let it slip to over the weekend), I now have close to 10 books (What to Expect, Girlfriend's Guide, Baby 101) which range in topics from conception to baby's 1st year. I'm usually an avid reader. But, all of this info just seems soooo overwhelming. I finally started reading What to Expect last night. But, fell asleep after just a few pages. I also don't want to read during lunch at work because I haven't told anyone as yet.
Three angel babies...I think it's time for a change
I started with What to Expect, which was pretty informative, but I've moved on to You-Having a Baby by Dr.s Roizen and Oz and I absolutely love it! It explains all the science and chemistry behind what's going on and has helped me relax a little. (I read You-On a Diet a few years back and lost about 40lbs as a result, so I was thrilled when I found they had a pregnancy book!)
I've also enjoyed Your Pregnancy Week by Week and The Pregnancy Book by Dr. Sears. For DH, I bought Be Prepared: A practical handbook for new dads. It's hilarious!

Hey you! I have all of the books mentioned from PP (minus the guy ones). I also picked up the Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy.
I think I should skip the "My Boys Can Swim" as poor DH has MFI
Haha. . . bad IF joke!
Haha....same here. We did ICSI, ya know. So really his boys can't swim.
Us too. That would be really bad. Poor DH would look like this
BTW- You ready for twins with that beta? You CANNOT tell me you haven't thought that!!!
