DH thinks it sounds like a troublemaker name. I would do a nn of Lexi or Alex (I prefer Lexi but DH think that sounds like a dog name). For some reason I am partial to names beginning with vowels. DD's name is Erin. Please give me some opinions on Alexis or alternatives that sound good with a sibling named Erin. TIA
Re: What do you think about the name Alexis?
I actually prefer it as a boy's name, but I know I am in the minority. In most Spanish and French-speaking countries, it is a male name.
For a woman, it just makes me think of Alexis on the 80s show Dynasty.
What about Alexa or Alexandra?

I know waaaay to many kids w/ that name. If you do go w/ it Lexi is the better nn of the 2. Alex is a boy'snn to me.
Exactly this. Alexandra is on my short list with the nn Alex. I'm not a fan of the nn Lexi. I guess I am in the nimority as well. : ) Of course ... my first daughters name is Quinn which I'm sure would get a lot of panties in a bunch as well. : )
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.
I think it's a little stripper-y myself.

My name is Alexis, most people call me Ali
ETA: I was born in the 80s and grew up being asked if I was named after the chick on Dynasty.
I really like it. Other names I think sound nice with Erin are:
Laine, Charlotte, Claire, Brynn, Elizabeth, Jane, Briony, Bryer, Hadley
