I rented an AquaDoula from my MW for $250. It was great- deep so I could sink down in up to my neck and it came with a heat pump. I spent many hours in it (long labor) and Lily was born in the water.
DH didn't find it too hard to set up and my MW obviously didn't mind cleaning it up.
It came with a liners, that are thrown out after each use.
I am renting, not through midwife, but through a company that is contracted through my hospital. The tub is the Aqua Doula tubs, soft sided, about 150 gallons, and with a temperature controller. It's a $50 deposit and then $200 after that, so $250 total. They set it up after I am admitted and do all the clean-up, takedown after I have moved to recovery.

I own my own La Bassine that I also rent out... actually it's my 2nd pool it gets used so frequently. I gave birth in the first and will probably give birth in the 2nd.
For Baby2's HB, I'm borrowing my MW's. It's this one: https://www.waterbirth.org/mc/page.do?sitePageId=45085 She said she chose it because it's big but not too big, has sturdy enough sides to sit on, has handles for me, and has a step that she says is often used to sit on after the baby's born so that mom doesn't have to worry about keeping baby's head above water.
With DD, I labored in the tub at the BC/hospital, but wasn't allowed to birth there.
I bought a horse trough at a local pet supply store for $69.99 .... Originally I had lined it and put padding underneath the liner for comfort and support. However I ended up trying the tub out a few weeks before the birth and my liner had a leak so I tore it apart and was supposed to get it relined.... that never happened and I went into labor and used it just as I bought it, bare.
I found it to be super roomy for me (but I am only 4'10''), I was able to move into every position possible and my water stayed warm for the entire 6 hours of labor .... it was actually still warm the next morning.
I will keep mine to reuse with any subsequent births ... I absolutely loved it!
a birthing pool is included for free with my MWs fees. i did have to buy my own liner and "poop" net! but that was maybe $25 total.
for my last birth, i spent some time in my own bathtub, but a) it was very small and difficult to move around in while in labor and I could not be submerged as i wanted to be; b) it was winter and we couldn't keep the water hot enough! the MWs birthtub has two electric heaters attached.

Our master bathroom has a HUGE jacuzzi tub, so that's where I delivered. It worked well, although I wasn't in it for very long, maybe 20 mins or so before DS was out.
