Visiting: What's the #1 must-do with a toddler?

Hi ladies... I am going to be visiting DC the 2nd weekend of September. My sister lives in the Arlington area, but she lives right near the metro so we can go anywhere really.

My sister knows the area well, but she is young and has no kids, so I thought I would ask some moms what the best activities for a 26 month old would be. What is your favorite thing to do?

The Zoo, hands down. Just bring plenty of water and be prepared to walk a lot:)

Another vote for zoo! I went a week ago and the animals were really active. Definitely bring lots of water and good walking shoes. If you want a map, you now have to purchase it

Zoo is great. I didn't know that about maps. You can proably print one from the website. At least you used to be able to. If he's into dinosaurs you could also check out the Natural History Museum.
