Thought you dilated earlier with 2nd baby? :(

I am due on the 25th and my doctors had assured me weeks ago that I'd be dilated 2 cm by now, but I'm still 1 and we had wanted to schedule an induction for next Thursday (just 2 days before my due date) so that my DH could have off from work that Thurs and Fri and have the weekend at home since he does not have flexibility at his job and needed to schedule his few days off in advance...but my body is not cooperating! They won't schedule it until I'm 2 cm dilated so I'm getting antsy!

    I think you need new doctors if they "assured you" you'd be dilated by now.  Your body will dilate and go into labor when it is ready.  If you push for an induction with an unfavorable cervix, then you risk a c/s.  The rate of c/s from induction is very high, and with a little one already at home I wouldn't risk it.
