First Internal...damn that hurt

So I was prepared for first internal this week but, I was so not prepared for how much it hurt. Eek...I guess this is what I have to look forward to for the next few weeks until DD arrives.

Ooh, I am glad my docs do not do internals until 38 or 39w... The last 'internal' anything was the internal u/s at 10w, and that, along w/the speculum for the Pap was torture!

Yeah they kind of suck..but since I lost my MP after my first one last thursday, I don't mind the pain!

They are different for everyone because everyones cervix is in a different place and we all have different levels of feeling in our vaginas.

That said, mine bring me to tears, my cervix is SO high and far in front it kills and I have high tol for pain (Did a spinal fusion recovery med free). Others have a better position and is easier to get to, so you never know. It may be easy for you or bad. Do not judge by others experiences.

My first one was this morning and I started crying waiting for the doctor to come in because I was so afraid. It was so embarrassing but I seriously couldn't stop. Turned out that it was a big nothing. I guess just slightly uncomfortable was a good way to put it but definitely not painful. To all the girls who haven't had one yet - don't get worked up about it like I did. You could be lucky like me and have it not bother you.

How strange. I just had my first internal today (complete surprise, btw), and it was totally fine. Didn't hurt at all and wasn't even that uncomfortable. I was just about to AW about it, too....

Guess it just goes to show you how everyone is different!

Yeah, my first two didn't hardly hurt at all..just a little uncomfortable. This last time when I was more dialated and effaced it hurt more and was the same Dr. I think it's different for everyone and different for how much progress you have when you get them done. I think it does get more sensitive and not looking forward to my next one on wed.
