What monitor do you use?

Our fisher price monitor has totally crapped out on us. One of the receivers doesn't always work and the other one works but the volume button doesn't work. With the new one coming, I need to get a new monitor system. What do you use and would you recommend it?

I have the Graco ivibe one. It is fine. Nothing special about it...the green light comes up and down and you get a clear sound when she makes noise in her nursery.

Sometimes the signal gets messed up and I have to go in her room and change the channel.

But it really has worked fine for us.

I'm going to get the summer infant hand held video monitor for #s 2 and 3...because I know they will move to their nursery much sooner than DD did.

We use the Safety 1st Hi-Def Video Monitor and we love it. It has worked well for over a year and I don't have any complaints. I love that the monitor is handheld and it has a really wide range (I can walk 2 houses down and it still works perfect). Two of my neighbors have the same monitor and we've never had issues with interference.

DD has the angelcare monitor - we used it with DS until he was over 6 months and rolling all around. DS has the summer infant hand held video monitor. We love both of them!

I have the Sony BabyCall monitor. It's not video, just sound, but I love it. In fact, we have 3 - one in each kid's room and my mom has one at her house. It works great. We've never had a problem or complaint. I like that you can set it on voice activation so it's completely silent until they make noise - no annoying background sounds. And it even learns to tune out the music on their crib soothers so it still only comes on when they cry. They've been dropped a zillion times (even once into the pool) and still work fine. They also almost never have interference from each other or the zillion electronics running in our house all the time. It's the one Baby Bargains recommends.

I have 2 diff ones. At my shower I got the Graco iVibe and I liked it. DD was still sleeping in our room and so I mostly just used it when she napped during the day and I was in and out of the room doing things. Once we got her moved into her own room I was not comfortable without being able to see her and I got the Summer Infant handheld. I LOVE it!
